PSL - Potomac School of Leadership

PSL is a 2 year ministry training program based out of the Potomac Ministry Office. Students will earn an accredited associates degree through our partnership with Ascent College, local church experience, Network level experience, and build lifelong relationships with their peers and leaders through the Potomac Network.

Our partnership with Ascent College allows us to affordably offer a quality education.

As a part of the program, PSL will connect students to churches and events where they'll be able to serve under various leaders and leadership styles, and will be encouraged to develop their giftings.

This is done in tandem with internship style, hands on experiences in the Potomac Ministry Network, through which students will experience intentional leadership development and personal mentoring.

Through Ascent Colleges online schooling, students will earn an accredited Associates of Science in Ministry Leadership degree.

With the education and experienced gained through PSL, students will meet the requirements to become a credentialed minister in the Assemblies of God. PSL will assist in helping students find placement in ministry positions that fit each individuals giftings and calling.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Senses a call to ministry on their life

• Actively serving in their local church

• Able to articulate how the gospel has impacted their lives

• Maintains at least a 2.75 GPA

• Has pastoral references

• 18-24 years old

PSL Offers

Hands On Experience

Build your skills by hands on experience within local churches and through serving throughout our uniquely diverse network.

Leadership Development

Students will take part in leadership develop courses as well as have the opportunity to shadow various high quality leaders.

Community

The residential component of PSL helps students not just develop individually but to also be a part of a community that is devoted to encouraging one another and growing together. The relationships made at PSL will last a lifetime.

Education

Graudates will earn a fully accredited associates degree. For students wishing to continue their education, degree is transferable to 4 year universities or you can complete a bachelors degree directly through Ascent College.
